Dear Member
CHAIRMAN'S INTRODUCTION – May Clegg
Croeso/Welcome to our first newsletter of 2009 and my first as Chairman.
I know many of you are now well into lambing, so I hope the wintery weather were experiencing as I write this will now have changed to spring sunshine.
When I joined the Society in 2000 I was a sheep novice and found the help and advice of other members invaluable, whether it was help with choosing a ram or spending time showing me how to
prepare my sheep for the show ring (and kindly not laughing too much on my efforts). Much of the pleasure I get from my flock I owe to fellow members.
I am therefore pleased that the committee has decided to appoint area representatives of the Society to whom members can turn to for advice and information. (see below for details)
Please do remember that this is your Society and that your input is very important, so do please contact any of the Committee members with ideas, concerns, views etc that you wish discussed
at our quarterly meetings, the next being on the 23rd of April 2009. Minutes of meeting are available on request to the Secretary (see below for details) and please feel free to contact me on 01559 370464 before 9pm please.
I wish you all a successful and enjoyable year ahead and look forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely
May Clegg
P.S. Don't forget to keep taking photographs for our end of year competitions/calendar/ Flock Book etc.
